Nanci Santelli's Obituary
Nanci Lee Santelli passed away surrounded by friends & family at Tacoma General Hospital on Saturday,
March 08, 2025. Nanci was born in Tacoma, WA on August 17, 1957, to Mario & Dorothy Santelli. She was one of 5 children and grew up in Fircrest, WA; she attended Wainwright Elementary for Kindergarten then moved to St. Charles Borromeo for grades 1-8 where she, as a Catholic, received both First Communion & Confirmation; after graduating St Charles she moved on to St. Leo's then Wilson High School. Nanci had a deep love of animals, especially dogs & cats, and always seemed to have one or two hanging out with her. In 1977 Nanci gave birth to her only child, a son, Adam Ricco Santelli who she loved dearly. Nanci never had a real career but worked a number of jobs over the years in restaurant & retail.
In later years Nanci would become a Grandmother 3 times to Kari Lee, Clover Marie, & Carlo Mario; she loved all her grandchildren and only wanted the best for them. Nanci was preceded in death by her eldest sister Christine (as an infant), parents Mario & Dorothy, son Adam, and grandson Carlo; she is survived by older sister Carla, younger brother Nick, younger brother Matthew (Debra) niece Sara (Joe), nephews Matthew (Holly) & Justin (Christina), granddaughters Kari, Clover, & Amiya; great-grandson Cash, and Crystal Hite, mother of Clover & Carlo plus many more caring friends. Nanci will be missed by family & friends alike; the family wishes to thank the caring staff at both Allenmore & Tacoma General Hospitals for their tireless efforts in treating Nanci.
There will be a Funeral Service Friday, March 28, 2025, at 3pm at Mountain View Funeral Home & Cemetery, 4100 Steilacoom Blvd SW, Lakewood, WA 98499; reception to follow service. In lieu of flowers please consider making a donation. in Nanci's memory, to the Humane Society or other Animal Rescue Organizations.
