Nana Jean Warburton passed away on October 3, 2008 in Federal Way, WA at the age of 68. A memorial gathering will be held on Saturday October 11, 2008 from 11:00 am to 2:00 pm in the Celebration of Life Center at Mountain View Funeral Home, 4100 Steilacoom Blvd. S.W., Lakewood, WA.
Nana was born in Albion, NE on August 24, 1940. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Stanton Warburton III; parents, Vilas and Margaret Hinkle; son, Dean
Michael Downey and sister, Marlyn Joan Hinkle.
Mrs. Warburton was a Ham Radio Operator, (N7OIX). She volunteered many, many hours for the Special Events of Pierce County, and was a member of Ares/Races, Mass of Pierce County Search and Rescue. She was a Washington State all lines Insurance Agent and worked over 20 years in the field.
Survivors include her daughter, Cheri L. Johnson; sons, David K. Downey, Donald P. Downey and Daniel P. Downey; brother, Owen (Joyce) Hinkle; eight grandchildren, Richard, Eric, Jonathan, Sarah, Diana, Jessica, Rebekah, and Jacob; and two great-grandchildren, Cameron and Elizabeth.
