Gannon, Myrtle Nell's Obituary
Born in Yellow Creek, North Carolina, to Burlin and Easter Mae Millsaps, Myrtle lived a life marked by hard work, generosity, and unconditional love.
After graduating high school, she began her career in clerical work with the FBI. Her dedication and perseverance led her to a long and successful career in healthcare administration. She retired as Chief Executive Director from Providence/Health Services Northwest, having spent most of her professional life in healthcare billing and patient accounts. Her journey from entry-level roles to leadership was a testament to her determination and work ethic.
She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Lawrence Gannon; her parents, Burlin and Easter Mae Millsaps; and her brothers, Richard and Lonnie Millsaps. She is survived by her children, Sean and Kathleen; her cherished grandchildren, Hayden, Liam, Nolan, Ethan, Mason, and Lila; her sisters, Annice Higdon and Nina Yeargin; her brother, Tony Millsaps; and many nieces and nephews who adored her.
Outside of her career, Myrtle found joy in gardening, cooking, reading, and, most of all, spending time with her family. Her grandchildren were the light of her life. She will be remembered as one of the kindest and most generous people, always willing to help others without expecting anything in return. A strong and independent woman, she was devoted to her children and family, offering unwavering support and love. Her forgiving nature and unconditional love touched everyone who knew her.
Her legacy of strength, compassion, and selflessness will live on in the hearts of her family and friends.
