Myrtle A. Johnson's Obituary
Myrtle A. Johnson 1923 - 2008 Beloved wife of 64 years to Curtis Johnson and mother of Alan (Carole) Johnson of Brookings, South Dakota, Sherry (Jim) Green of Gig Harbor, Dennnis (Carol) Johnson and Richard (Carol) Johnson of Puyallup. Myrtle passed away peacefully at home surrounded by her loving family. Myrtle was born in rural Badger, South Dakota. She was the ninth of eleven children born to Jens and Anna Steffensen. Myrtle's family was her joy in life. She loved being with all her children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews. She was a devoted member of Hope Lutheran Church, where she was a member of the Lady's Guild and enjoyed hours of making quilts for others. Myrtle will be deeply missed by all her family and friends. We wish to thank Pastor Jonathan, Kathy S., and Linda C. from Hope Lutheran, Hospice, Visiting Angels, and the Cancer Center Staff at Puyallup for all their tender loving care. Memorial services will be Sat., March 22, 2008 at 10:00 AM, Hope Lutheran Church, 72nd and S. Puget Sound, Tacoma. Arrangements made by Mountain View Funeral Home.
