Myron Weidman's Obituary
Myron L. Weidman 1919 - 2009 Myron was born in Oregon and raised in Dayton, WA by parents Louis and Zenobia Weidman, with brothers Harley and Ken and sisters Lenora and Lillian. Enlisting in the Air Force during WWII, Myron was posted to Spokane, WA. Attending First Christian Church there, he met and married the love of his life, L. Bertha (Jacobs) Weidman. Following postings to Colorado and Alaska, he and Bertha returned to Spokane to begin building their own house and to have their two children. Myron pursued a career in banking, beginning with First National Bank in Spokane, and retiring from Wells Fargo Bank in Tacoma, WA. In addition to his family, Myron loved boating, fishing, singing with his church choirs and local choral groups and, most of all, golfing. He and Bertha also enjoyed traveling. Myron was predeceased by his parents; Harley and Lenora, and Bertha in 2002. He is survived by his sister Lillian Dalberg, brother Ken (Lottie) Weidman, daughter Wendy Weidman, son Rick Weidman, and grandsons Mychal Weidman and Blair Weidman (Sada Condon), daughter-in-law Sandi Weidman and her children and grandchildren, nieces and nephews from both sides of the family, many wonderful and supportive friends, and his church family. His family would also like to thank Jin, Sung Mi, and Yong of the Gig Harbor Adult Family Home for their amazing care of and for Myron this last year. Burial will be in the family plot in Spokane. A memorial service will be held at First Christian Church, 602 N. Orchard St., Tacoma, WA at 2pm on May 9, 2009. In lieu of flowers, a contribution to Alzheimer's and dementia research would be a lovely gift in Myron's name.
