Myrna Mae Monroe Pedersen's Obituary
Myrna Mae Pedersen
Myrna Mae Monroe Pedersen was born on May 29, 1922 in Cutbank, Montana. She and the love of her life Frederick C. Pedersen were married for 55 years before Fred was taken home to the Lord in 1998. Myrna was a 1940 graduate of Montesano High School and attended Washington State University. Myrna was a devoted wife, mother, daughter, and Nana. Her love for her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren was only outweighed by her love of the Lord Jesus. Myrna graduated in 1969 from the Harrisburg PA Practical Nursing School, passing her boards to become an LPN. She worked while continuing to raise her family and then returned to the Northwest. Myrna loved to read, travel, play bridge, pinocle, and cribbage. She was an avid bowler, a classical pianist, and choir member. She was an active member of the Graham Evergreen Presbyterian Church.
Myrna is survived by her four children: Her daughters Ms. Mary Lynn Pedersen, Warrensburg MO, Mrs. Trudy Kennedy (husband Kenneth) Newton, KS, Mrs. Kirsten Lampson (husband David) Graham, WA, and son Mr. Gary Pedersen (wife Patricia), Westport, WA as well as 11 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.
A memorial service will be held Tuesday, December 27th in the Garden Chapel of Mt. View Funeral Home (4100 Steilacoom Blvd. Tacoma, WA 98499) at 2pm with viewing in the Chapel from 1-2pm. A reception and celebration of her life will follow a graveside service at Prince of Peace Lutheran Church (10333 Bridgeport Way, Tacoma, WA 98499).
