Muriel Hartman's Obituary
Muriel Valentine Hartman
The Seattle Mariners lost a stalwart fan when Muriel Valentine Hartman died on July 17, 2011. Muriel was born on Valentine's Day 1916 in Osakis, Minnesota and moved with her family to Tacoma in 1918. Her life revolved around her family, her home, and her Christian faith. Clifford, her beloved husband of 62 years, died in 2001. Muriel always enjoyed a lively debate about politics and current events. She is survived by her daughter Carol and some cousins. It was her wish to remain in her home until her death. With the help of the Franciscan Hospice team, her daytime caregivers, Rita and Jan, Dr. Andrew Tsoi and his staff member Henrietta, her wish became reality. At her request no service will be held. Remembrances may be sent to: Franciscan Foundation, Franciscan Hospice and Palliative Care, P.O. Box 1502, Tacoma, WA 98401-9836. "Keep thy heart with all diligence for out of it are the issues of Life" Proverbs 4:23. Arrangements by Mountain View Funeral Home.
