Hi Dad,
Your 67th anniversary with mom would be coming up this month.
Many island people ask about you and remember knowing you all the years here involved in every kind of activity. You left quite a footprint here. Veteran's Day has just passed. Your name was on a little paper flag posted at the store along with many other soldiers. There is change yet no change on earth. War continues.
Hanukkah is coming up next month. I will light candles.
Thanksgiving is soon. Ken got married. Surprise.
Look down on Philip and Belinda and kids and send down some needed Uncle Marty encouragement for them.
I am fine.

Morris was like a grandfather to me. He was... great. He was the man who took me for rides on his lawnmower, read my writing, and called me sweetheart (just like my mom, and my grandma, and my aunt, and my sister, and countless others hehe).
He was one of the people who helped me become who I am today, who I will be in the future. So I guess... I just want to say thanks for everything Morris. We'll never forget you, what you taught us, and how much we love you.##imported-begin##Ayja Ballou##imported-end##
I love the man that can smile in trouble, that can gather strength from distress, and grow brave by reflection. 'Tis the business of little minds to shrink, but he whose heart is firm, and whose conscience approves his conduct, will pursue his principles unto death.
- Thomas Paine (1737-1809)
My dear great uncle, I miss you, yet are happy that you are at peace. I am blessed to have known you and been part of your family.##imported-begin##Shari Widlund##imported-end##

Virginia Frost is a friend and colleague of mine. She told me of her Dad's passing a short time ago. She had briefly shared her Dad's military background with me, but I had no idea how much he had accomplished in his career, and the many places he'd been. Command Sergeant Major Krepky raised a wonderful lady in Virginia, and I feel certain he positively touched the lives of many soliders in much the same way. My condolences go out to Virginia and her family on the loss of her Dad.##imported-begin##Michael Bosse##imported-end##
Friend's parents are parents in friendship. Virginia's father is that for me. His strengths of involved productivity, I see very much alive in her.##imported-begin##Dolores##imported-end##
I had the honor of meeting Morrie in June 2004 during a visit to Anderson Island. This wonderful gentleman told me stories about the early island days and stories about his colorful life. What a delight it was to hear him talk about the things he held so dear. I will remember you Morrie. Your friend, Pete Benson.##imported-begin##Pete Benson##imported-end##
