Celebrating the life of Morgan Joseph Moroni
It is with great sorrow that the family of Morgan Joseph Moroni announces his passing on Thursday, September 12, 2019 in a tragic motorcycle accident. Morgan was born on June 8, 1977 in Tacoma, Washington to Gino and Rosalie Moroni. Morgan is survived by and took great pride in his daughter Lyric, his only child. He is also survived by his mother Rosalie, his father Gino, his paternal grandmother Dorothy, his sister Kelly, his brother-in-law Spencer, his baby nephew Frederick, and many aunts, uncles and cousins. Morgan is deeply missed by his family, friends, colleagues and neighbors.
Morgan was raised in the Catholic church, attended Catholic schools, and graduated from Wilson High School in June, 1995. Morgan worked for Wells Fargo in merchant services for the past 13 years.
Morgan was proud of his rich ancestry, including his Tahitian and Italian heritage. He recently traveled to both Tahiti and Italy with his family and planned on returning to both countries within the next couple of years.
Morgan was patient, kind, humble, helpful, thoughtful, witty and intelligent. He was a true renaissance man and was self-taught in many areas, including: fishing, target shooting, chess, auto & motorcycle mechanics, gunsmithing, construction, electrical work, computer science, gardening, cooking, and the list goes on…
Morgan was well-read, had a zest for life and a hunger for learning new things that was unparalleled. Morgan was always challenging himself and expanding his interests. He was physically fit and passionate about working out. Before he passed, Morgan was learning how to weld, fixing multiple vehicles and putting the finishing touches on the landscaping at his home.
Morgan was larger than life in both skill and personality and his memory lives on with his family and friends.
Funeral services and a reception will be held on Tuesday, October 1, at 11 AM at Saint Patrick’s Church, 1001 N J St, Tacoma, WA 98403, with the burial to follow at 2:30 PM at Mountain View Funeral Home & Crematory, 4100 Steilacoom Blvd. SW, Lakewood, WA 98499. There will be no viewing. Please join Morgan’s family and friends to help celebrate his life.
In lieu of flowers, donations in Morgan's honor may be made to the St. Patrick's Church.
