Monica Allshouse's Obituary
Monica Allshouse, beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and friend, passed away on April 7, 2025, leaving behind a legacy of love, creativity, and adventure. Born on July 16, 1958, in Santa Monica, California, Monica was the only child of Richard and Rachel Bartindale, but was blessed to have several step-siblings. She graduated from Benton Central High School in Oxford, Indiana
A West Coast girl for most of her life, Monica lived in Santa Monica, Ojai, and Redwood City, California, before eventually settling in Tacoma, Washington.
Monica was married to Henry Allshouse for 22 wonderful years. A family-centered person at heart, she cherished her husband, children, and grandchildren most of all. She found joy in the simple moments—capturing beauty through photography, playing with her grandchildren, and embracing creativity in everyday life. She had an adventurous spirit—some even called her a “travel junkie”—always seeking new experiences and destinations.
In her younger years she spent a brief time as a medical assistant, but later pursued a career in customer service, working for Aetna, Expedia, and Alaska Airlines. While she enjoyed helping others throughout her work life, Alaska Airlines was her favorite, as it allowed her to embrace her passion for travel alongside her husband, Henry. Together, they explored Alaska, Florida, Hawaii, San Antonio, Southern California, Mexico, Baltimore, and many other destinations, creating lasting memories along the way.
Monica is survived by her loving husband, Henry Allshouse; her children Kim (Randy) Baker, Robert (Michelle) Pulliam, and Ryan Pulliam; and her grandchildren, Olivia, Miles, Cecelia, Amelia, Greg, and Westin.
Monica will be fondly remembered as a loving, creative, and caring mother, a free-spirited traveler, and a warm presence in the lives of all who knew her. She leaves behind a lifetime of beautiful memories and the enduring love she shared with her family and friends.
May she rest in peace, and may her spirit continue to inspire those who were fortunate enough to have known her.
