Mona M. Willoughby's Obituary
Mona Mae Willoughby was born September 25, 1928 and made her journey to Heaven January 13, 2019. Mona loved her family and many friends. She lived her entire 90+ years in Tacoma and University Place area. Mona graduated from Stadium High School. She touched many lives and was active raising her family, golfing weekly and played in two bowling leagues. Mona enjoyed her Garden Club, which included many friends. She loved crossword puzzles and enjoyed a weekly card game, "Up Yours", with a few senior card sharks. Mona enjoyed boating and exploring the Puget Sound. If she wasn't on the water she and Ken were traveling with their Airstream.
Mona was preceded in death by her husband of 62 years, Ken Willoughby. Mona is survived by her 4 children Warren (Cynthia), Alan (Debbie), Valerie (Steve) and Wendy (Rick), 7 Grandchildren and 10 Great-Grandchildren who fondly call her GG.
A Memorial Service for Mona will be held 2:00 p.m., Friday, January 25, 2018 at University Place Presbyterian Church, 8101 27th St. W, University Place, 98466.
In lieu of flowers Mona asked for donations to the American Cancer Society.
