Mitoko Otto's Obituary
Mitoko “Bobbi” (Matsuno) Otto of Pierce County Washington, born July 10, 1922 in Osaka Japan, has passed away peacefully surrounded by her family on December 7 2014.
She was the daughter of Shoiche Matsuno and Hanna Yoshida and had twelve siblings. Most of her childhood was spent growing up in Osaka, Japan. However as the pressures of WWII increased, her family moved from Osaka to the countryside to escape the bombings that were happening in the city.
After the war, while working to help support her family, she met and married US Army Sgt. Warren Glenwood Otto Jr. Prior to settling down in Washington to raise their three children, the family was stationed in San Francisco and Germany. Mitoko was a accomplished gardener and grew many varieties of plants around her home. She was also a talented artist and she loved to dance.
She was preceded in death by her parents and husband Warren Glenwood Otto Jr. She is survived by her children; JoAnn (John) Bowen of Tucson, AZ, Mary (Carson) Randolph of Reno, NV and Norman Dale (April) Otto of Spanaway, WA; her many grandchildren: Angela (Pete) Hardy, Robert (Tracey) Bowen, Aaron (Sam) Randolph, Andrew Randolph, Dana Otto and Lauren Otto. She had many great grandchildren that she adored as well: Matthew Bowen, JaMaal Hardy, Christopher Bowen, Anisa Hardy, Elizabeth Bowen, Kayleigh Bowen, Spencer Bowen and Jaxson Bowen. With great pride she said her family has brought her joy and happiness throughout the years.
