Milton Ray Carter's Obituary
Milton Ray Carter, 74, much loved husband, father and grandfather, died at his home in Parkland on Tuesday, May 30, 2006. He loved golfing, photography, boating, scuba diving, gardening, cooking, and most of all, his family. Ray was born April 1, 1932, to Everett Harrison Carter and Emma Leona (Mallory) Carter in Henrietta, MO. He married Carol Stoltz on Sept. 11, 1956. He served in the US Air Force from 1956 to 1976 as an aircraft maintenance technician and analyst, including tours of duty in Vietnam and the Philippines. He is survived by his wife of 49 years, Carol (Stoltz) Carter; his children Sonya Lynn (Carter) and Russ Hildreth of Prather, California; Durina Ann (Carter) and Kip Taylor of Tacoma; Lorrine Rae (Carter) and Tim Thompson of Lacey; Paul Raymond and Janice (Olsen) Carter of Tacoma; and Dale Patrick Carter of Tacoma; his sister Audrey (Carter) Smith of Fort McCoy, Florida; 11 grandchildren, 3 great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. He will be greatly missed. In lieu of flowers, please send donations to the Tacoma Rescue Mission and the American Heart Association.Services will be held at 11 AM, on Monday, June 5 at the Celebration of Life Center at Mountain View Funeral Home.
