Milton James Armstrong's Obituary
Milton J. Armstrong, 94, passed away peacefully at his home in Tacoma, Washington, on July 6, 2025, surrounded by family.
Milton was born and raised in San Antonio, Texas, alongside his brothers and sisters. From a young age, he had a strong sense of duty and service, which led him to join the United States Army. He built a proud military career, earning honors and the respect of those he served with before retiring.
After his military years, Milton brought his dedication and leadership skills to a management role at Kmart, where he worked until his retirement. His work ethic and kindness left a lasting impression on those who knew him.
During his service, Milton met the love of his life, Loretta. They made their home in Tacoma, where together they raised four children: Richard, Monica, Diana, and Carol. Milton was a devoted husband, father, and grandfather who cherished time spent with his family.
He found joy in life’s simple pleasures—fishing on quiet mornings, tending to his garden, and building and running model trains. These hobbies reflected his patience, creativity, and appreciation for detail.
Milton is survived by his daughters Monica and Carol, and by his grandchildren, who will carry forward his love and lessons. His warmth, humor, and steadfast presence will be deeply missed but fondly remembered by all who knew him.
