Deaconess Mildred Webb-Hayes was born on November 2nd, 1932 in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. She is the eldest of two children born to Eddie Webb Sr. and Lessie Ewing-Webb Robinson. She is preceded in death by her brother, Eddie Webb Jr., her parents, and her husband Deacon Dave Hayes. Mildred accepted the Lord at a young age and in 1952 moved to Tacoma, WA as Mrs. Charles Stubblefield and they three sons: David(Elizabeth)Stubblefield, Calvin Stubblefield, and Michael Stubblefield.
In 1955 she married Deacon Dave Hayes and had four children: Davida (Malcolm) Hayes-Matthews, Marcus (Valerie) Hayes, Doris Hayes-Clark, and the late Delisa Hayes.
Mildred became a member of Shiloh Baptist Church in 1955 and was a devoted member along with her husband. She was a faithful senior choir member, mission board member, served on various committees and held many offices over the last 61 years. She was a devoted Mother, Grandmother of nine, Great-Grandmother of twelve, aunt, cousin, sister and friend to so many and will be greatly missed.
Deaconess Hayes’ favorite songs that she led with the Senior choir were “Hold The Light” “Is Your All On The Altar” and “Something Within.” Mildred can sing now in eternal glory all day with the angels. Rest well, good and faithful servant.
