Mildred Fay Moreau

Beloved mother, grandmother, aunt and friend. Mildred passed away in Tacoma, WA, surrounded by those who loved her. Her love for life kept her strong through her brave battle with cancer. Mildred was born to Estella and Rudulphos Connor in Cosmopolis, WA. She was preceded in death by 6 siblings. The family later moved to Wapato and then to Tacoma in 1941, where Mildred graduated from Lincoln High School in 1945. After marrying, Mildred lived in Vancouver, WA and Leavenworth, KS for a brief time. She returned to Tacoma in 1960, where she lived out the rest of her life. In Mildred's younger years she enjoyed traveling, swimming and ballroom dancing. Throughout her life she enjoyed crocheting and sewing. Mildred was very active in genealogy research and enjoyed sharing wonderful stories of the past. She was a kind, loving and generous person, and will be missed by so many. Mildred is survived by her son Jonathan Moreau of Tacoma, WA, 2 daughters, 4 grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews. Services will be held on Saturday, Sept. 26, 2009, 11:00 AM, in the Mountain View Garden Chapel, 4100 Steilacoom Blvd. SW, Lakewood, WA.
