Mildred E. Long's Obituary
Millie Long, born in Buffalo, NY on August 3, 1927. She was the 7th of 10 children. She came to the west coast to work in the ship yard during the war. She later became a waitress and bartender. She worked in the finest places in Tacoma. She loved people and serving them gave her great joy. In 1998, Millie went to work for the Muckleshoot Casino and worked in the gift shop full time before she became ill in October. The most pleasurable times in her life were spent in Hawaii where she vacationed every year.She was a classy lady with Â"Champagne TasteÂ", she loved her weekly trips to the hairdresser, her shopping sprees at Nordstrom and dinning at Shenanigans. Millie had a great love for animals, her wishes were memorial contributions be made to the Pierce County Humane Society in lieu of flowers.A memorial service will be held 4:00pm Tuesday January 23, 2006 in the Mountain View Celebration of Life Center. Her cremated remains will be scattered in Hawaii.
