Michele Ann Almond's Obituary
Michele Ann Almond passed away peacefully on Monday, April 10th, 2023 surrounded by her loved one’s at the University of Washington Medical Center in Seattle, Washington.
Michele was born January 4th, 1966 to her Mother LeaRae Eckersley and Father Roy Eckersley. She was born in Bellevue, Washington and grew up in Ocean Shores, Washington. She is forever cherished and remembered by her five siblings. Her twin sister Maureen, sister Mary, sister Kathleen, sister Helen, and her brother Mike. As well as her many nieces, nephews and great-nieces and nephews.
During life, Michele went on to accomplish great things throughout her 25 year career at Weyerhaeuser & Northwest Hardwoods. She married her husband Pete Almond in 2001 at Old St. Peter’s Church in Tacoma, Washington and gained another daughter, Morgan. Michele had a passion for decorating and celebrating every holiday from birthdays to Christmas to St. Patrick’s Day. Michele will forever be adored by her children Erica & Jackson.
Michele’s hobbies included; beach combing, enjoying the sunshine, golfing, baking in her kitchen, the trio, attending Jackson’s sporting events, celebrations at her parents house, snuggling with her dog Drake and scratching lotto tickets in the evenings.
Michele was a beautiful woman, both inside & out. Her battle with Breast Cancer & Acute Myeloid Leukemia in recent years showed her courage in facing life challenges with a smile and positive attitude. She was kind and passionate and her strength was unmatched. She cared so deeply for the people around her. Michele loved her family unconditionally. She loved her husband dearly. Her children were the light of her life. She adored her parents and her relationship with her sisters was cherished. She was an amazing daughter, sister, wife, mother, aunt, cousin, colleague and friend. She touched the lives of so many people.
While Michele was taken too soon from our world, her imprint of who she was will forever remain. Michele, until we meet again in Heaven, we will miss you.
