Michael E. Woods' Obituary
Michael Woods Born March 19, 1948 in Renton, Washington to Edward and Elsie Woods, Mike passed away on June 19, 2014 peacefully at home. A log scaler by profession, a University of Washington graduate, and a Vietnam War vet, Mike loved athletics. A member of Tacoma's Team Edge Triathlon Team, he participated in two ironman competitions as well as numerous triathlon, running, and bicycling events. He also coached soccer, baseball, running, and bicycle racing teams. Michael is survived by his mother Elsie, wife Anna, children Allison and Torre, sisters Katie (Rob) and Vicki, and brother Tom (Belinda). A service will be held Saturday, June 28, at St Patrick Catholic Church in Tacoma beginning at 10 am with a reception to follow. In lieu of flowers, please send donations to the Christopher and Dana Reeve Foundation for Spinal Cord Injuries.
