To the Winkler Family -
On behalf of the entire Gernon Family, we wish to share our deepest sympathy on the passing of Mike. We share your pain and hurt with the loss of Mike, who is gone much too soon.
The parallel paths of our families is very long so it is remarkable that we just lost our beloved son and brother, Will, on September 2, 2022 to a motorcycle. As you know, Will and Mike were classmates and friends at both St Frances Cabrini School (class of 1987) and Bellarmine Prep (class of 1991). They both had a love of life and mischief making that never went away. That two Lakewood families with so many common bonds could lose sons so closely makes the pain even greater.
Both were good sons and brothers who loved their nieces and nephews very deeply. We understand the holes in your hearts so deeply. We know you will carry on Mike's memory, just as we will carry on Will's.

I remember him bringing donuts and coffee to share with the team. It was a very thoughtful gesture!
