Michael Anderson
Michael, 68, passed away Monday, December 24 in the company of his family following a brief battle with cancer.
Born and raised in Hoquiam, WA, he graduated from Hoquiam High School and Central Washington University. Michael taught band in Federal Way and Tacoma, retiring in 1998 from Wilson High School. He enjoyed basketball, coaching, giving trumpet lessons, travel and his beach house at Ocean Shores. Michael's love of music was an important part of his life. He played with the several musical groups and was a member of the Tacoma Concert Band for over 25 years.
Michael leaves behind his loving wife, Dianne, daughter, Kelley Morgan, son, Ryan and grandsons, Alec and Kyle.
A celebration of Michael's life will be held Friday January 11th at 2:00 at the Tacoma Yacht Club. Please make remembrances in Michael's name to the Tacoma Concert Band.
