Michael Lorenz's Obituary
Michael Lorenz was taken from us on September 30, 2012. He passed away in Spanaway near the Spire Rock Monument which was one of his favorite places. He was born on August 18, 1987 in Tacoma, Washington at St. Joes Hospital. He was a very intelligent man who cared much about his family, friends, and most of all, his brothers Matthew and Joshua.
Michael was always looking for ways to help the people he cared about and was the kind of person who would do anything for anybody. Michael was a gifted musician and could write and play music with ease. He was in many bands in his young life and played many live shows in Seattle and surrounding areas. His band had won musical contests in Seattle and was known for his fearless style of guitar playing. During a live performance he would, on the spur of a moment, throw his guitar in a complete 360 around his back then the next minute play with his guitar behind his back. He played with passion and with a desire to please the people who came to see him.
Michael was also known for his unique intelligence. All who knew him knew of this trait that naturally came to him. He graduated from Bethel High School with a 3.90 GPA. He often expressed his desire to become a doctor and took classes in school to further is knowledge in that area. After high school, he attended a community college for two years and studied business.
Michael was a leader. He always had a plan and ideas about whatever was going on around him. He wasn't afraid to take risks. He was always looking for alternative solutions to a problem. He wasn't afraid to ask questions and, upon conclusion, test his results to assure complete accuracy in his findings. If you were stranded on an island and all you had was a shoestring, a paperclip, and a plastic water bottle, he would find a way to use those items to get you off the island.
Michael had many friends, both male and female, and always had a way of having fun when he was with them.
He is survived by his mother, Tammy Lorenz; his father, Chris Czichas; and his two brothers, Mathew and Joshua Czichas; as well as many other extended family and friends.
His life was cut too short and we will all miss him dearly. He will never be forgotten and many are a better person for knowing him.
