Michael was born in on March 22, 1962, in Texas and grew up in Georgia. He was a proud member of the United States Army and served as a corporal. He enlisted in Georgia and was transferred to Fort Lewis military base here in Washington. Where he met his wife, Robin Hill. The two married quickly and spent almost forty years sharing a life together.
To know Mike, was to love him. He had the best personality and sense of humor. He was always the first to crack a joke and make everyone smile. He was a huge sports advocate. He spent many years of his life coaching his daughters in basketball. He enjoyed spending his time watching football, the Georgia Bulldogs and Dallas Cowboys were his top teams. He also loved watching and playing basketball, his top team was the Boston Celtics. He spent his career working as a forklift driver. His favorite job of all though, was being a papa (or Pops) to his four grandchildren, Sawyer, Jax, Miley, and James. He was an incredible father to his four daughters, Brooke, Lauren, Laccie, and Beth who will all miss him tremendously.
Mike worked hard to support and care for his family. He worked graveyard shifts and long twelve-hour days, but he never complained about that, and he always showed up for his family. He was that dad that never missed sports practice or a game. He was an amazing husband, father, grandpa, and friend. He will be missed by many, but his memories will never be forgotten.
