I did not know Mike real well but what little time I spent around him in the shipyard and on the deck plates, every time he spoke to me it always included being called "Brother Man". He was warm and friendly and made me feel comfortable with that term of endearment. RIP "Brother Man"!
My daddy..... I will always strive to be like you. To offer my hand in help to those in need, to love my family no matter what, to raise my boys with the morals and values that you instilled in my brothers and I. My heart aches at the thought of holidays without your laughter, and I'm still struggling to accept that you're gone. Too soon, much too soon.....but I'm grateful that I got the chance to come home to Washington almost four years ago and spend that time with you, and that your grandsons had that chance as well. They will NEVER forget their Silly Grandpa!! We are better for having had you in our lives, Dad. You're already so very missed!!!!! We will never be the same without you. Not ever.

I meet Michael back in the 70nd he was a hard worker for the navy back then. He was one of a kind. My prayer and words are for his family and friends and all that knew him. Fair winds and following seas shipmate we have the watch. God bless all that read this post. (Radar)
I was sitting at the Dining table in Big Mike's home about late 2001 and he asks me you got a girlfriend yet I'm like what's that. With a smile he asks you did graduate High School correct? Yes I said but no classes on girlfriends just girls in classes. This went on for 5 minutes finally I said no.
When Renne lived in hannibal my boiler went out, wouldn't you know Renne had one in her basement not being used so guess what it came to my house !!! Now how are we going get down my basement & who is going to hook it up ??? Guess who just happens to come to town !! Mike !!! So Mike & my friend Steve install it." Mike says who am I billing this to" & answers himself by saying God !!! That is the kind of man Mike was !!! I will miss you & cherish The times you stayed at my house I so enjoyed your company !!! Your non related other sister Virgie !!!!
