Michael Layton Edmonds' Obituary
Michael passed away peacefully on January 23, 2019 at his home at age of 77. He was born to the late Bert and Edna Edmonds in Toledo, WA. They then moved to Tacoma where he graduated from Lincoln High School in 1961. Michael served in the National Guard in 1959-1965. After attending college, he became a dedicated social worker where his passion was helping others. He was a member of the Elks Club and Eagles where he coached the Archery and Drill Team. Michael and Ana married on June 8, 1987. He was a parishioner of Holy Rosary Churc h and a 4th Degree Member of the Knights of Columbus. He was an active volunteer of 10 years and the President of the Parents Club at Holy Rosary School. He was the founder of the annual Holy Rosary Crab Feed. Michael fostered several children. He was a big fan of the Seahawks, Mariners, Coca-Cola, hamburgers with a strawberry shake on the side. Michael is survived by his beautiful wife, Ana; Son, Michael (Gloria); Daughters, Carrie, Charlene (Trevor), Tina (Roman) and Jessica, 15 grandchildren, 14 great grandchildren; sister Gayle, and his loyal companion dog, Louie. He is preceded in death by his father and mother; brother Jim and sisters, Donna and Carol. A service will be held at Visitation Catholic Church at 11am on January 30, 2019 (Rosary will be at 10:30). Following the service will be the burial at Mountain View Funeral Home and following that will be a reception back at Visitation Catholic Church.
