Micah Stephen Kellcy's Obituary
Micah Stephen Kellcy was born in Roseburg, Oregon on December 30th, 1980. He was welcomed into GodÂ's presence on Sunday, September 26, 2004 by his Savior Jesus Christ, his Grandpa Mac, his Grandpa Walt, and his Grandma Dorothy. He is survived by his parents, Walt & Martha Kellcy, his two older brothers Caleb (Marisa) & his three-year-old niece Â"Elisa,Â" who he nicknamed Â"BeautifulÂ", Joshua (Becki) Kellcy, and his Grandmother, Audine McDowell. He is also survived by his Uncles, Tim Kellcy, Greg Kellcy, Robert (Carol) McDowell, Philip (Diane) McDowell, Steve (Christy) McDowell, Aunt Debbie (H.B.) Clark, and numerous cousins. All who knew him loved him endlessly, and Micah touched everyone with his goodness in his brief time on earth.Micah was one of the finest young men who ever graced this earth with his presence. He was a lighthouse in a dark stormy sea, he was a shelter from the storms of life, he was the sunlight that broke through and revived our spirits on a gray dreary day, and we will forever feel the loss of Micah. If ever there was cause to say, Â"Oh God why?Â" This would be the time, and yet the one whom we mourn would have none of this. CanÂ't you just hear him now as he speaks to us saying, Â"Weep not, but rejoice for soon you will be where I am, and we will be together forever.Â"Micah was such a perfect fit for heaven that we canÂ't help but wonder if, as in the case of Enoch, God wanted him more than we needed him. His light will forever shine; the only thing that has changed is the audience. Where he once shined for us he now shines for the heavenly beings. Micah may not have known what his life was to eventually be about, but the Creator of all things most certainly did.Yes, we will mourn, and we will never fill the void of this special one, but he would ask us to go on, and go on we must. But as we go on with our lives, let us honor MicahÂ's life by emulating his ability for loving others. Maybe like Micah, we should look each other in the eye with genuine interest in what is being said, and not just act as if weÂ're interested. Maybe like Micah, we should put a smile on our face and a twinkle in our eye more often. Maybe like Micah, we should seek out those who need a comforting word or deed, and not think so much about ourselves. There will never be another Micah, and his effect on us will be eternal. We will never forget him, and yes we will cry and feel the pain of loss whenever we think about him, but we will be better people for having known him. One can only imagine what good he might have accomplished here on this earth had his life not been taken prematurely. Our life will never be the same with Micah's passing. We loved him more than life itself. He was too good for this world, and yet we needed him so much. His gain is such a great loss to us. Though Micah now walks where we can only imagine, he brought a little bit of heaven to everyone he ever met. There are some, who even while in the flesh, express divinity. Micah was one of those special people, and will never be forgotten. We can only wonder at God's purpose, but we bow to his eternal will. The world is diminished because Micah is gone, but it is still a better place because he was here. Micah truly was one of GodÂ's finest achievements.Public viewing will be Friday, October 1, 2004 in the Mt.
