My wife and I are saddened to hear of Liz's passing, but her memory will live on.
I have known Liz my whole life when staying with my grandparents down the street after school. After my parents built their home down the street several years ago, I would often help her with mowing the lawn, getting her pond in the backyard running or what ever she may of needed help with. She would always try to pay me, but I would decline, so instead she would send me home with one of her amazing rum cakes. To this day, I still try to replicate her recipe, but I have never been able to make one quite like she could.
Liz often shared stories about her life and the many things she accomplished, and I was always amazed by all that she had done. Even as she got older, she remained active and involved in the church, often playing her guitar during services.
Liz will be dearly missed. I hope that she and her husband are together again.
