Uncle Merritt, I love you so very much. You were the kindest, most real, person I've ever met. Thank you for teaching me all that you did. I already miss you terribly. I think of all the people you touched, helped , and affected in such amazing ways and it makes my heart smile. I hope you have the highest mansion and treasures in heaven!!! Thank you for the amazingly funny jokes on all the car rides, your quick wit and humor. Thank you for showing me how a family really is. Your truly one of the best people I have ever met.
A great Christian mentor for me. A brother in Christ. Always had a joke ready. Loved to pray with him after class. We had the same black trench coat, "except mine is 50 years older". His smile and love for whoever walked through the door will be missed. He is enjoying heaven now.
Dr Lawson was an inspiration to me as a student of Covenant Bible Seminary. He loved people and shared his conviction of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. He will be missed.
Dr. Lawson stood at the exist door greeting students as they departed each night. Dr. Lawson also Officiated my ordination service after I earned a Master of Divinity Degree.
I got to know him even better when he offered me a call to serve as a faculty member. Each class night after the students departed, he gathered the faculty together with Dr. Schultz, and we prayed together.
God's Blessings to Diana and Dr. Lawson's family.
