Merna D. Henry's Obituary
Merna D. Henry, 87, died peacefully June 22,2008 at her daughter Karen's home under the care of Franciscan Hospice. Merna was born in Spokane Jan 6,1921 to William Droschkey and Bertha Dill Droschkey. She was preceded in death by her husband Albert in 1967 and her brother William Droschkey in 2006. She is survived by her son Allen Henry of Anchorage, daughter Karen and son in law Gene Gus and beloved grandson Joseph Gus, all of Tacoma. Brother Dave Best and sister in law Joyce Best, three nieces Sharon Judd, Gale Best, Elaine Best, all of Lewiston ID, and sister in law Shirley Droschkey of Cove Oregon. After graduating High school in Orofino Idaho,Merna attended Kinman Business College in Spokane and spent her working life as a full charge bookkeeper, working for TRA over 35 years then AIR (automotive imports) where she worked well in to her 80's. The family would especially like to thank Franciscan Hospice and Cindy Curry for her loving care and Jim curry for his help and patience. Graveside services will be held at Mountain View Memorial Park. Friday June 27 at 2:30pm. Viewing at Mountain View funeral home from 12 to 2:20pm. Reception follows at home of Gene and Karen Gus.
