Merlyn Bussell's Obituary
Our beloved Husband, Father, Uncle, Grandfather, Great Grandfather and friend Merlyn Wayne Bussell was born in Bonilla, South Dakota on September 14, 1927 and entered into eternity on December 8, 2014, he was 87 years old.
Merlyn was born to Dewey and Laura Bussell. He grew up on a farm in Ruthven Iowa with his siblings, 2 sisters, Arlene and mavis and 1 brother, Eldon.
At the age of 17 he joined the Navy and served for 2 years. He also went to Iowa State College and was an avid Hawkeye fan.
Merlyn loved to Golf. He also enjoyed Fishing, Hunting and bowling. He loved the Seattle Seahawks. Seattle Mariners and Washington State Cougars.
After retiring from Ernst Hardware in 1990, he volunteered at the VA Hospital at American Lake for many years.
Merlyn and Vera enjoyed traveling and joined the Antlers Aweigh travel club. They traveled for many years and acquired many friends and acquaintances.
Maerlyn always brought a smile and laughter to every occasion. He was a great jokester.
He is survived by his wife Vera Lee, His children Gary martin, Daniel martin, Dorothy LeAnn, Rebecca Lynn and Kim Marie.
He has 18 grandchildren and 35 great grandchildren. He will gorever be missed.
