On Tuesday, October 7, 2008, our Heavenly Father requested the presence of our sweet precious angel, Mercedes B. Mears. Born November 6, 1997 in Lakewood, WA, Mercedes lived her short life spreading love and joy, touching the hearts of everyone who had the pleasure of knowing her. Viewing will be Tuesday, Oct. 14th from 1-9pm at Mountain View Funeral Home, 4100 Steilacoom Blvd. SW, Lakewood, WA. The celebration of her life will take place at noon on Wednesday, Oct 15, 2008 at Allen A.M.E. Church, 1223 Martin Luther King Jr. Way in Tacoma, WA. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Mercedes B. Mears Memorial Fund at any Bank of America branch, to be used towards pediatric asthma research and additional funeral costs.
