Melvin Wilcher's Obituary
Mel was born May 5, 1941, and was raised in Low Moor, VA. He joined the Army in 1958, served three tours in Vietnam, and retired in 1988 as a Command Sergeant Major - E9.He made his home in Lacey, WA, with his wife of 40 years, Paulette, his daughter Robin, son Shawn, and grandchildren Shawn Patrick and Shannon. He is survived by his siblings: Betty, husband Preston, of VA; Ruby of VA; and Kenneth, wife Betty, of FL.In lieu of flowers, the family would appreciate donations made in Mel's name to the Make a Wish Foundation or the American Cancer Society.Viewing will be held 12:00 Â- 9:00 PM, Tuesday, Oct. 18th, 2005, at Mountain View Funeral Home.
