Mellonee Â"NeneÂ" Merritt, 83, of Tacoma, died Wednesday. Mrs. Merritt was born in Huntsville, Al on April 2, 1921 and moved to Tacoma in 1943.She is preceded in death by her husband Eddie Adolphus Merritt Sr. and her two children Gwendolyn Taylor & Eddie Merritt Jr.Survivors include 4 daughters; Constance Smallwood, Vivian Morales, Evelynn Dorsey and Valerie J. Gonzalez of San Antonio, Texas, three sons; Robert & Maurice of Tacoma and Bruce of Austin, Texas, sister Theodore Maxwell (Leroy) of Bronx, N.Y., 21 grandchildren, 20 great-grandchildren and 3 great-great-grandchildren.Viewing will be from 12 PM to 9 PM, TODAY, Saturday, March 26, 2005 in the Mountain View Funeral Home. Services will be at 2 PM, Monday, March 28, 2005 in the Mountain View Valley Chapel.Arrangements by Mountain View Funeral Home. 584-0252.
