Melissa Jayne Geissler's Obituary
Melissa Jayne Geissler was born on February 20th, 1966 in Tacoma, WA and passed away on May 1st, 2016 in Spanaway, WA. She was raised in Spanaway and went to Bethel School District. She later went on to work very hard in her mother’s restaurant. Known for her beautiful salads and sandwiches as well as ability to flip eggs, she was passionate as a prep cook. In her spare time she loved camping, going to the ocean and watching horror movies. As a Green Bay Packers fan, her favorite player was #52, Clay Matthews. Melissa adored animals (even stuffed ones), and loved looking at her fish tank full of fish. Enjoying Hello Kitty, Cartoons, and Disneyland was part of her silly side. Most of all, she loved the Lord and lived a life which reflected kindness to all who knew her. She had a beautiful heart and her friends and family loved her so very much.
Melissa is survived by her son, Brandon Geissler; mom, Mary; dad, Kirk; brothers, Stephen II (Tasha), Isaac (Heather); sisters, Deanna, Elisabeth (Will); grandmother, Eldora, as well as many aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews and her spouse, Frank. She is preceded in death by her daughter, Erin Ellen; father Stephen Geissler I and nephew, Andrew Geissler.
A Celebration of Life will be held in the Garden Chapel at Mountain View Funeral Home in Lakewood, WA on Thursday, May 26th at 11am. You are encouraged to wear her favorite color, purple, in her honor. A private family graveside service will be held at a later date.
