Melford James Larson's Obituary
Came into this world on June 12, 1928, departed this world June 12, 2004 completing a full circle of life. A loving father, grandfather, brother, and friend, Jim was born in Orting, Washington to Olive and William Larson. Jim has lived a full life, he loved to play his guitar and sing. Jim lost his wife three years ago, after 53 years of marriage. He found companionship with a close friend for the past three years. Jim worked for the Milwaukee Railroad for 34 years. He was a prestigious Elk Member since January 26, 1984. Jim fought cancer for many years, he was too proud to share how sick he was. Jim survived by his daughter Viki; son-in-law Tony; grandchildren, Krystal, and Michael; and 8 siblings, Donna, Peggy, Linda, Beverly, Louis, Bill, Chris, and Virginia. Jim hated people buying him gifts for birthdays and holidays. He chose his birthday as the day he wanted to be with his wife.In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Tacoma Elk Lodge #174 for his memorial. Visitation will be 1-9pm, Friday, June 18, at Mt. View Funeral Home. Services at 1pm, Saturday, June 19, 2004 in the Mt. View Valley Chapel.
