Mead C. McDonald's Obituary
Mead C. McDonald
1932 - 2009
Beloved husband, father, grandfather, and friend to many, sadly lost his battle with cancer on February 11, 2009. He was born in Albuquerque, New Mexico, the eldest son of Charles and Doris McDonald. Graduated from Clover Park High School in 1950, where he was the goalie for the championship hockey team. Mead enjoyed his class reunions and Ancient Warriors breakfast gatherings. He went on to graduate from the University of Puget Sound in 1954, where he was a member of Sigma Chi fraternity and met the love of his life, Janice Beitz. Mead was the owner of Parkland Western Auto Licensing, where he worked for 45 years. He loved people and his community. He was an active member of the Parkland Access Safety Association, Spana-Park Lions Club, and Garfield Street Association. He enjoyed travel, square dancing, and loved Maui. Most of all he enjoyed spending time with his family. He is survived and loved by his wife of 56 years, Janice, sons David (Sally Sue), Kevin (Leann), Jill Beauchene (David), and Lisa Farley (Mike). Most of all he loved his grandchildren, Jena Beauchene, David Beauchene Jr., Charlie McDonald, Sean McDonald, Maggie McDonald, and Ben McDonald. We would like to thank the team at Virginia Mason, and Dr. Jon Bernardo, for all of their care and support. Services will be held at Trinity Lutheran Church in Parkland at 2p.m. on Wednesday, February 18, 2009. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in memory of Mead McDonald to Virginia Mason Medical Center, Dept. of Hematology/Oncology, Attn: Trudy McKenzie, 1100 9th Ave C2-Hem, Seattle, WA 98111.
