Maxine (Kruger)
Leppanen November 23, 1916 - September
5, 2021 Tacoma, Washington - At the age of 104, Maxine lived a very full life. She was a devoted mother, grandmother, and a friend to all. She was born in Tacoma to Charles and Hannah (Hardtke) Kruger on November 23, 1916. After graduating from Lincoln High School, she attended Knapp's Business College. For many years, she worked as the District Clerk for the U.S. Geological Survey. Maxine was also a charter member of the Tacoma Orthopedic Association.
Maxine married Wayne Leppanen in 1946, and they shared 60 years together before Wayne passed away in 2006. Her parents and her brother, Lyle, preceded her in death.
Maxine is survived by her daughter, Judy (Rulon) Bingham, and granddaughter, Stacy (Steve) Rydgren. Services will be held on Monday, September 13, at 1 p.m. at Mountain View Memorial Park, Aspen Chapel.
