Maximino Cabe Cabellon's Obituary
Maximino C. Cabellon was born in Narvacan, Ilocos Sur, Philippines. He passed away last December 31st, 2010 at the age of 91. His active duty in the military includes serving in two wars (WWII and Korean) a total of 22 years service in the US Army, highlighted by surviving Bataan Death March and 13 months of incarceration. As a civilian, he had the opportunity to work with WSH Dept. of Nursing and Madigan Army Medical Center for another 25 years, combined that made a total of almost 50 years in public service. Max has a lifetime membership with Disabled American Veterans (DAV), American Veterans (AMVET) and the Filipino-American Club. He has 8 children Eduardo, Alberto, Orlando, Rosymelda, Max Jr., Esperanza (deceased), James and Marita, 8 grandchildren, and 8 great-grandchildren and is survived by 2 younger sisters. A year after the passing of his first wife Victoria, he met his second wife Valeria a dignified single lady, they were married in a civil ceremony in Manila and later joined him here in the US to be his help-mate and companion. Max loves gardening as a hobby specially vegetables of different varieties the produce of which he shares with family members and some friends. Viewing will be held at Mountain View Funeral Home on Wednesday From 1 to 9pm, Thursday from 8am to 3pm and will conclude at the Celebration of Life Center from 4 to 8pm. Mass of Christian Burial will be 11am, Friday at St. Frances Cabrini Catholic Church in Lakewood, WA. Arrangements by Mountain View Funeral Home.
