Maude Elizabeth Alleman
Maude was born June 17, 1912 in Duluth, MN. She passed away peacefully February 26, 2009 in Tacoma, WA. She is survived by daughter Beverly Friend (Bill), two sons, George Nelson (Janice) and Donald Nelson of Tacoma, daughter Marilynn Lovell (Jack) of Honolulu, step-son Douglas Nelson (Gert) of Duluth, MN, brothers Ed Larkins, Frances Larkins and sister Betty Johnson of Tacoma, WA. She is also survived by eleven grandchildren and fourteen great grandchildren. She enjoyed working in her flower gardens. She was a past Vice President of the local United Garment Workers Union and for many years worked in the tailoring business in Tacoma. She was past Royal Matron of the Lincoln Court of The Amaranth Lodge. She was also a fifty-year member of the Moose Lodge. At the age of 85 she earned her G.E.D. (Good for you, Mom). A Memorial service will be held Sat., March 7, 2009 at 1:00PM in the Garden Chapel at Mountain View Funeral Home. Viewing will be Friday, March 6, 2009 from 1-8PM.
