Matthew O'Hare's Obituary
Lt. Col. Ret. Matthew J. O'Hare
Born 6/02/1917 in Washburn, N.D. to Edward and Emma O'Hare. Passed away 2/26/2010. He was raised in Esmond, N.D., graduated from Mayville State College, with a degree in Education. Joined the Army Air Corp, then in WWII joined the USAF, retiring in 1968. Matt met Ruth Boyd Hartwell at the Manhattan Dance Club and had their first date New Years Eve 1969. They have enjoyed over 35 years of a very happy marriage, living in the home they built facing Mt. Rainier and taking many memorable trips together. Matt is survived by his loving wife, Ruth, four stepchildren, three grandchildren and one great granddaughter, his sister Marian Eberle, many nieces and nephews. Services will be held Friday, March 5th at 1:00 p.m. in the Garden Chapel at Mt. View Funeral Home. Please donate to a charity of your choice.
