Matt Wells' Obituary
Matthew Brian Wells died on September 21, 2017 after fighting deep anxiety and depression. He died at our home in Tacoma after a confrontation with the police. All of those who loved him have tried for years to get help. Matthew or Matt (which he preferred to be called) was born in Kirkland, WA on December 20, 1976.
He is survived by his parents Gary and Shirley Wells. His brother Michael and his wife Amanda, and his fiance Cari Deffert. He also will be missed by his aunts and uncles Michael & LouAnn Eaves, Iris & Jim Vail, Robert & Emily Benson, and Jerri & Chris Martin. He is preceded in death by his beloved Aunt Mary. He loved his cousins and they meant the world to him. They are; Heidi Banach, Tricia Vail, Stephani George and Craig Martin.
Matthew was a master mechanic and really had a gift for it. He also was gifted with a unique sense of humor and the one comment I get from everyone who knew him, is how much they will miss his laughter and the ability to make others laugh even on the darkest day. His memorial will be held in the Orchard Street Church of Christ on October 7th at 2pm with the same pastor that baptized him officiating. Until we meet again our precious Matthew.
