Mathilda Weiser's Obituary
Mathilda Weiser was born in Wiesbaden, Germany. She was the eldest of five children, three brothers and one sister. Only Karl Diewald, the youngest, survives her.Mathilda moved to the United States in 1953, then married Warren W. Weiser in Gvoten, Connecticut. They lived in Wisconson, Colorado, and Washington D.C., finally settling in Tacoma, Washington. Mathilda worked for the Post Exchange at McChord and Fort Lewis. She was a long time member of the German Lodge (Herman Sohne). Her hobbies included cooking for others, music, and singing.She is survived by two children: Franz and his wife Bridget in Frankfurt, Germany, and Walter Rockl in Kent, WA. Mathilda was a loving mother and grandmother, and leaves behind many friends and family in Germany.Viewing will be from 12:00 to 9:00 PM on Monday May 9th in Mountain View Funeral Home. Memorial services will be held at 1:00 PM, Monday, May 9th in the Mountain View Celebration of Life Center.
