Leatiota, Mathew Faleulu's Obituary
Mathew Faleulu Leatiota III passed peacefully in his home in Tacoma, Washington, on April 4, 2026, at the age of 46. Born on December 12, 1979, in Seattle, Washington, Mathew was a beloved son, husband, father, brother, and friend whose presence left a lasting mark on all who knew him.
Mathew was born to his mother, Felila Sima Memea Leatiota, and his father, Faleulu Faleulu. He was raised in Tacoma, where he attended Lincoln High School and proudly graduated with the Class of 1998.
On February 24, 2001, Mathew married the love of his life, Leamanaia Diana Lauifi, in Tacoma, Washington. Together they built a strong and loving marriage that spanned 25 years, rooted in faith, commitment, and deep devotion to family.
Mathew had a joyful spirit and a love for friendly competition and togetherness. He especially enjoyed playing cornhole, chess, and card games, and he loved going bowling—activities that often brought laughter and connection with family and friends.
A man of faith, Mathew was a longtime and faithful member of the First Samoan Full Gospel Pentecostal Church of Bremerton, where he found fellowship, strength, and spiritual purpose.
Mathew is survived by his devoted wife, Leamanaia, his beloved children, his siblings, and his father, Faleulu Faleulu. He was preceded in death by his mother, Felila, his sister Abigail, and Memo.
Mathew was deeply loved and will be dearly missed. His kindness, loyalty, humor, and dedication to his family and faith will be remembered always. His legacy lives on in the lives he touched and the love he shared so freely.
