Mary Lou Lay's Obituary
Mary Lou (O'Neill) Lay was born December 16, 1938 in Tacoma; passed away February 13, 2011 after complications from surgery. Graduating from Bethel High School in 1957, she then worked for Boeing, became a homemaker, worked for Sam's Club, and recently retired from Tacoma Goodwill Industries after more than 27 years of service. Mary Lou was preceded in death by her parents Charles (Ted) and Mary Lee O'Neill, and her two brothers, Edward (Teddy) and Allen. She is survived by her son John Lay, daughter Dana Munson (Art), granddaughters Dominique, Shelby and Amy, and many nieces and nephews. She was a classy lady, rarely seen without her heels and "war paint" on, who loved her life of family, reading, sewing, photography and her cats. Graveside services will be held Thursday, February 24, 2011, 10:30am at Mountain View Memorial Park followed by a reception at the family's home. Arrangements by Mountain View Funeral Home.
