Mary Schatz's Obituary
Mary was born May 24, 1915, and passed away peacefully October 14, 2003 at her home. Mary had lived in the Tacoma area for the past 62 years, and worked for the J.D. Shotwell family for over 50 years before she semi-retired in 1989 and fully retired in 1995. Mary was a member of the Emmanuel Lutheran Church, where she went for over 30 years, every Tuesday, to make quilts for Mission. She did a lot of volunteer work all of her life and was famous for her baking and always had her freezer full of cookies, pies and cinnamon rolls. Her greatest joys were her son, grandsons, and great-grandchildren that could never walk out of her house without some goodies. Mary was preceded in death by her husband, John in 1997 and is survived by her son, Jim, and grandsons, Willie, Corey, Kevin, and their families.Mothers Never Really DieThey Just Keep House Up In The SkyVisitation will be from 3 P.M. until 8 P.M., Thursday, October 16, 2003 at Mt.
