Mary Lee Reese
Mary Lee Ardley Reese, 68, died Friday August 15, 2014 in Seattle, Washington.
Mary accepted Christ as her Lord and Savior in 1957 at St. Peter P.B. Church and was baptized by Rev. George W. Wilson. She was a graduate of the class of 1963 from the Old Lincoln High School and earned a B.S. degree from Florida Agricultural Mechanical University "FAMU" in Elementary Education. She was a longtime member of Grace Chapel and was employed as an Educator at the Child Development Center.
Funeral service will be Saturday August 23, 2014 at 1:00 P.M. at St. Peter P.B. Church, 2565 Centerville Road with burial at Indian Branch Pallbearer Lodge Cemetery.
A Memorial Service will be held August 31, 2014 at 3PM at The North Fort Chapel on North Fort, JBLM, WA.
Mary leaves to cherish her precious memories, one daughter, LaToshia Denise Reese (Thomas Hill) Tacoma, Washington; one step-son, Reginald (Patricia) Reese, Maryland; two step-daughters, Cathy (Milton) Battle, Fayetteville, NC and Melonie Reese, Tallahassee, FL; five brothers, Philip M. (Evelyn) Ardley, Oakland, FL, Larry J. Ardley (M.I.A.), Michael J. (Debbie) Ardley, Tallahassee, Wesley Jean-Eudes Ardley, Oak Park, FL and Calvin W. (Deneen) Ardley, Orlando, FL; two sisters, Della M. (Willie J.) Harris and Patricia A. (Richard) Sykes, both of Tallahassee; two brothers-in-law, Theadores "Billy" (Cindy) Reese, Fayetteville, NC and Joseph C. (Brenda) Reese, Denver, CO; four sisters-in-law, Margaret (Johnny) McQueen, Apopka, FL, Betty (Jimmy) Garner, Mitchellville, MD, Maria R. Williams, Tallahassee, FL, and Dianne R. Page, Ft. Lauderdale, FL; six step-grandchildren; two god-daughters, Nicole Michele Ardley and Nicole "Nikki" Davis; one uncle, George (Delverna) Henry, Jr., Tallahassee; one aunt, Virginia H. Barnes, Tallahassee; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Mary was preceded in death by her husband, Silas B. Reese; mother, Lillian Marie Mitchell Henry-Ardley; father, Johnny Gallon; step-father, James Ardley, Sr.; brother, James Ardley, Jr.
