Mary L. Peterson's Obituary
Mary L. Peterson, passed away on Saturday March 6, 2021. Mary was born in a three room house in rural South Dakota, the youngest girl of eleven children.
She moved to Tacoma at the end of World War II, seeking a better life. In 1947 she met and married her husband of 42 years, Eugene Peterson, Who preceded her in death.
Mary worked as a restaurant waitress and later started a career working as a bakery clerk. She finished her career, retiring after 40 years of working at Safeway.
She spent her retirement working on her roses and feeding her birds and squirrels.
Mary passed away after eleven year battle with dementia.
She is survived by her only child, her son Stanley.
