Mary Anne Owens' Obituary
Mary Anne Owens passed away peacefully June 23, 2017 in her Lakewood home of 44 years. Anne was born in Wrens, GA on January 2, 1923 to Fredger and Mattie Stapleton. On receiving her diploma from Paine College high school in Agusta, GA, Anne went on to live in New York City before joining the Armed Forces (WAC) during WWII.
Anne spent her entire life making the lives of all around her better, by providing a positive, reassuring spirit and outlook on life.
She is survived by her son Darryl, of Lakewood, WA; an aunt Jean Jordan of Scarsdale, NY; Niece Lisa Jordan of Honolulu, HI; Nephew Brett Jordan of Scarsdale, NY; Nieces Gwen Franklin, of the Bronx; Karen Franklin, of the Bronx; and Malva Reece, of the Bronx; Aunt Julie McKinney of Ayers, MA; and Niece Carol and Nephew William McKinney, of Connecticut; and Aunt Frances Crawford of Atlanta, GA.
Anne married Frank Henry Owens, US Army MSGT E8, of Paris Illinois on June 2, 1956 in Los Angeles, CA. They were married 49 years, raising two children, Darryl and Debra.
Family who preceded Anne in death include her parents; Aunts Annie Mae Jordan, Clarissa Jordan Benefield, Christine Jordan, Malvenia Jordan Franklin, Alice Smith, and uncle Dr. Alphonza Jordan; grandfather and Patriarch Lee Jordan, all of Wrens, GA. Husband Frank, and daughter Debra, both of Lakewood, WA.
Anne enjoyed most of all her humble abode of 44 years, and loved flowers, shrubbery, as well as flipping through landscape books for ideas.

A family credo sums up Anne's life journey, " I know there are no errors in God's eternal plan, and all things work together for the final good of man.... and I know when my soul speeds onward in it's grand eternal quest, I shall say, as I look back earthward, Whatever is best!
A celebration of Anne's life will take place on July 6, 2017 from 4pm to 7pm in the Celebration of Life Center's Willow room, on the Grounds of Mountain View Funeral Home & Memorial Park. A private interment service will take place at Mountain View Memorial Park.
