Mary Louise Leake's Obituary
Mary Louise Roon Conaway Leake passed peacefully late afternoon April 6, 2003 in Tacoma while surrounded by family and loved ones. Born October 9, 1916 in Seattle, she lived most of her life in the Pacific Northwest.In her early years she studied ballet and theatre with a dream to become a professional ballerina. She passed along her love of ballet, music and the arts to her daughters and shared with all, her uncommon celebration of life. She loved the ocean, the joy of laughter and the spirit of giving. She is remembered best for her inspiring smile and huge heart. She is survived by her husband of 32 years, William S. Leake and her daughters, Christine Conaway Farmer and Katharine Conaway Roberts; eight grandchildren and eleven great grandchildren.In lieu of flowers, remembrances may be sent to your favorite charity. A memorial services will be held 2pm, Wednesday April 23, 2003 at St. LukeÂ's Memorial Episcopal Church, 3615 N. Gove St. with a reception to follow.
