Mary Lou Ristine's Obituary
Mary Lou Ristine Passed away peacefully on March 1, 2017. Mary Lou was born to Mary and Louis Fitterer on August 3, 1927 in Ellensburg, WA. She pledged Kappa Kappa Gamma sorority and met her husband Will at University of Washington. They were married in December, 1949. Will and Mary Lou lived many years in Lakewood and had six children, Eleanor (Al), Laura, Elizabeth (Dennis), Mindy (Ken), Joan (Mike), and John (Denise). She also had a brother, Fr. Paul Fitterer, SJ. She was blessed with 15 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren. Mary Lou was active in many organizations. In addition to the Kappa Alumni Assn., she was a founding member of the Lakewood Republicans Women's Club, and a member of the Ryther Group and PEO. She was a longtime member of the Lakewood Racquet Club, playing tennis until she was 80. After Will's death, Mary Lou traveled with her many friends, and continued to do so until a year ago. Mary Lou was predeceased by her husband, daughter Laura, and grandson Willy.
